Bonacci Group were responsible for all structural concept design across the SY21 site with the exception of the Malcolm Street Building.

With reference to the attached photograph, this building was part of a three building complex, fronting Chapel Street, South Yarra. It comprised two residential towers of up to 11 storeys and a dedicated recreational building complete with above ground swimming pool and gymnasium.
All buildings were constructed above a two level carpark basement and a fully landscaped podium with up to 1200mm of soil and trees. There were significant transfer structures involved. Post tensioning was used to cater for loads as well as offering up a degree of waterproof ness.
All cores were of stitched precast construction while all floors were conventionally reinforced. Slabs were typically 180mm thick. Perimeter precast façade panels were back formed to the structure. This structure was proven by Mirvac Construction to be extremely challenging to construct and accordingly architectural solutions produced since that time have been less courageous.
Bonacci Group also provided full structural services to the River Street Apartments which comprised a series of three Buildings of up to five levels all constructed above a two level basement. Similar construction techniques were used on this building as for the Chapel Street Apartments. A residential Garden Tower of eight levels extends along St. Kilda Road and has an extensive and elaborate forecourt roof.
Along Grant Street, there are eight terrace apartments, which are built partially above the City Link (Domain) Tunnel. Each of these apartments has its own lift.
Bonacci Group provided full civil and structural consulting engineering services, including documentation of a number of façade elements.
