The buildings are designed for both cyclonic and seismic loading.

The new Townsville General Hospital was constructed on a greenfield site near James Cook University.
The hospital is a four storey development with a gross floor area of 5500m2 and a total project value of $170m. The project is divided into four distinct areas: Ward, Acute, Education and Central Energy.
