Queen Victoria Development

This landmark project is valued at $600 million as was serviced by a large number of consultants including seven different architects.   Bonacci Group was the sole structural engineer and serviced this project with two project directors, two project engineers and an engineering and drafting support staff of up to 12.   The successful delivery was achieved by providing a relatively small number of highly skilled and motivated staff, minimising staff management and maximising client outcomes.

CH2 – Council House Development, Ecologically Sustainable Design

The 2007 Sir William Hudson Award for Engineering Excellence was awarded to the City of Melbourne, Bonacci Group and Lincolne Scott, for the design and construction of the environmentally sustainable building, known as Council House 2 (CH2), which houses the new offices for the Melbourne City Council. This award is the pinnacle of Engineering achievement and the highest Australia- wide award bestowed by Engineers Australia, annually.

CH2 is a 10-storey office building, located on Little Collins Street, at the Tivoli car park site, near the corner of Swanston Street, in Melbourne. The building provides offices for the Melbourne City Council. It comprises open plan office space for nominally 540 Melbourne City Council staff, five retail outlets on the ground level and basement car parking convertible to future office space.

Bonacci Group has gained unrivalled expertise in the practical application of Ecologically Sustainable Design principles.

Sydney GPO Redevelopment

The building occupies the whole of the Martin Place frontage between George Street and Pitt Street, Sydney.

The heritage Sydney GPO building was constructed in three main stages between 1865 and 1900, the first stage being opened in 1874. The redevelopment of the site comprised a new 26 storey office tower, a new 31 storey tower for the Westin Sydney hotel and incorporation of the heritage building into the hotel. A five level basement provides parking for 430 cars.
