The Gheringhap / Malop / Mercer Street roundabout has undergone a major facelift. The intersection works will include clearly defined traffic flow lanes, line marking and signaling, dedicated bus lanes, revised parking orientations, pedestrian signalised crossings, defined pedestrian access, lighting and landscaping.

   Bonacci group designed all pavements, curb drainage and service relocation works in accordance with a functional intersection plan developed by City of Greater Geelong.

   The Mercer Street median works incorporate the reconstruction and realignment of the centre road median, traffic lane widening, addition of vehicle parking buffer / bicycle lane, signage and traffic markings.

   The Mercer Street upgrade will improve the traffic flow to be generated by the extensive redevelopment of the Western Wedge precinct.
