Bonacci Group provided both construction planning advice and detailed temporary works designs for several major items of plant on this interesting marine project.

Dock development for Strang Stevedoring and Toll Holdings comprises 7.0 hectares of regraded pavement in stage 1 and a further 10 hectares of new pavements in stage 2 with access roads to the wharf structures.

This development includes a headquarters building, major workshops, canteen, lecture theatres, Q store, marina to accommodate Army's Landing Craft mediums (LCM8) and extensive site works and hard standings.

The wharf is 250 metres long by 30 metres wide, with a cast-in-situ concrete deck of 450mm minimum thickness. The deck is designed for crane loads and containers stacked up to three high. The design point load on the deck is 67 tonnes.
