2019 ACSE Awards

On the 21st March 2019, Bonacci Group attended the Annual ACSE Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards Ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge the profound achievements within the structural engineering industry.

We would like to acknowledge our dedicated project teams and individuals for their ongoing commitment, effort, and recognisable talent.

Bonacci are thrilled to receive wins in two categories:

UTS Central Staircase – Unusual Projects – High Commendation

Visible through the glass façade of the new UTS Central building, these three unusual staircases were inspired by the repeating double helix structure of DNA. We are thrilled that this remarkable showpiece representing major breakthroughs in science and technology received the High Commendation award.

Natalie O’Brien – Female Engineer of the Year – High Commendation

Natalie is a chartered structural engineer with over ten years’ experience who has worked on numerous iconic, high-profile projects included the Ribbon and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre. She has interests in the promotion of STEM studies for women and girls, and humanitarian engineering where she has volunteered with the construction of a school in Kenya. A special acknowledgement to Natalie for her outstanding leadership and talent.
